Our RIB boat will take you along the coast near Ålesund. The exact route depends on the weather, but normally includes both a visit to a seal colony and to the bird sanctuary island of Runde, with its puffins and sea-eagles.
Puffin at Runde
We provide goggles and safety flotation suits to protect you from the sea-spray, but be aware that while these suits are both windproof and water-resistant, they are not watertight, so you can expect to get wet. It is part of the experience!
Great fun
Sea-spray
You should use normal clothing that will resist a little sea-spray, which is also warm enough to keep you comfortable outside for a couple of hours and suited to the weather on the day of the tour. Colder days require warmer clothes than mild days. The trip proceeds in most conditions, and on the wilder days with rain and wind you will need warmer, more robust clothing. We recommend good walking-shoes, long sleeve T-shirt/polo, long trousers and you can expect to get wet. There is much to see, so we recommend taking along binoculars and a camera, but you should also ensure that these are protected from the elements.

The flotation suit that we provide will normally keep you nice and warm. On cold days a warm hat will help and gloves with good grip, but these are rarely necessary in the summer.
All participants on the tour must complete and sign the self-declaration form prior to the trip.
