Ålesund The tour starts with a boat cruise from Dronning Sonjas plass (Queen Sonja's square) in Ålesund, a city known to have one of Europe’s most distinctive concentrations of Art Nouveau buildings.  City of Ålesund Hjørundfjord From Ålesund the trip goes through the breath taking Hjørundfjord to Øye, continuing by bus through the wild and beautiful Norangdalen to Hellesylt. The Hjørundfjord area is a well known for mountaineering, climbing and skiing. Øye is also the starting point for the hike up to the summit of Slogen (1,564m above sea level), perhaps Sunnmøre’s most beautiful peak. The trip makes an excellent day-trip.
 From the top you have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain peaks and lush green valleys, stretching down to the magnificent fjord.
