Summer in Sunnmøre is something you feel before you understand it. The days stretchtowards midnight, the fjords turn a shade of blue that seems barely real, and the mountains above them are finally free of snow – open, warm, and waiting. This is the season the region was made for, and this journey takes full advantage of it. Seven days across three hotels, on the water, in the mountains, and around tables that celebrate everything the north grows and catches in its finest months.

Where you'll stay
Brosundet sits at the heart of Ålesund's Art Nouveau quarter, with views across the sound and the city at its summer best. Union Øye is a 19th-century jewel at the head of the Norangfjord, its valley floor lush and green through the summer months. Storfjord Hotel is a timber-clad retreat above the fjord, where the long evenings are best spent on the terrace with a glass in hand. We know these properties intimately – their best rooms, their rhythms, and what makes each one worth the journey.

Eat and drink
Summer on a plate
Summer is when the fjords and fields give their most generously. Wild herbs line the mountain paths, the shellfish from the cold waters reach their peak, and the long days mean chefs can work with ingredients still warm from the ground. At each hotel, the kitchen follows the season – Nordic cuisine at its most alive. Dinner in Union Øye's historic Dining Room, an evening in the Conservatory, dinner at Heimgar, and a final night in the boathouse at Storfjord. Union Øye and Storfjord are both Michelin Key recipients and members of Relais & Châteaux.
