To bring travellers into this landscape in a way that did it justice – combining the outdoor experiences the region was born for with accommodation and service that matched the setting. Twenty years on, the company is still family owned, the hotels in our portfolio are still family owned, and the belief that small and personal always beats large and anonymous is still at the heart of everything we do.
Who we are
In 2005, the Flakk family looked at the Sunnmøre region – its fjords, its mountains, its remarkable hotels – and saw something that the rest of the world had barely noticed yet. Not a hidden secret to be kept, but a place that deserved to be shared properly. With care, with knowledge, and with a standard of hospitality that Norway hadn't quite seen before.
